Lap-Sit Storytime: For infants and toddlers ages 0-3 and their caregivers

Stories for our youngest library lovers! Held the 2nd Thursday of the month, lap-sit storytime is an opportunity to share stories, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs. Fun for babies and informational for adults; everyone will get a nursery rhyme booklet to take home. Please check the calendar for exact dates for these interactive storytimes.

Preschool Storytimes: For preschoolers ages 3-5 and their caregivers

Come and share stories, rhymes, fingerplays, songs, a new game, or a craft! These themed storytimes are held on Mondays twice a month, last about a half an hour long, and are fun for everyone. These programs are a great introduction to the library and help with print awareness, early literacy, and kindergarten readiness. Please check the calendar for exact dates for these fun-filled storytimes.

Lego Hour: for ages 5 and up

Held on Wednesdays once a month after school from 2:45 – 3:45 pm. This program features our extensive collection of donated Legos and involves a Lego activity or challenge and a snack. For ages 5 and up. Children who are able to follow directions are welcome to attend without a parent. Please be prompt in picking your child up at the end of storytime. Please check the calendar for all of the great programs we’re offering this season.

Lego Night: for ages 5 and up

Held the 3rd Thursday of the month, from 5:30 – 7 pm. Come check out our giant collection of Legos, build your creation, and hang out with your friends. For ages 5 and up. Please check the calendar for the exact dates for our Lego Nights!

Maker Club: for ages 5 and up

Do you like to make things? We’re starting a new club to do just that! We’ll be exploring traditional methods of making things (fabric, toys, crafts, electronics) and 21st century technologies as well. This club is designed for kids and adults to participate together and is open to all interested parties. We’ll meet during the week and on a Saturday, once a month. A snack will be served during the meeting of the club. For ages 5 and up, this club is designed to allow kids, teens, and adults to all work together to learn something new. Please check the calendar for the exact dates of the Maker Club!

Adult Programs

Book discussions, special talks, movie showings, and basic computer classes are just some of the many programs we offer for adults. Please check the calendar for exact dates.
