  • 7pm- Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Thursday, May 11

  • 11am- Lap-sit Storytime (ages 0-3 and their parents or caregivers)
    Fun for babies and toddlers, informational for adults! Join us before the library is open for a low-stress, play-oriented storytime in the library. Books, rhymes, songs, and fingerplays galore!

Saturday, May 12

  • 9am – 12pm- Drop-in Craft for all ages

Monday, May 14

  • 10:30am – Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5)
    Join us for a themed storytime at the library. We’ll have books, rhymes, songs, and a game or a craft.

Wednesday, May 16

  • 7pm – Author Talk: Jackson Ellis
    Ludlow author Jackson Ellis will share the prologue and first two chapters of his Howard Frank Mosher First Novel Prize winning book: Lords of St. Thomas. He’ll be selling and signing copies as well. Light refreshments will be served.

Saturday, May 19

  • 9am – 12pm- Drop-in Craft for all ages
  • 12:00pm Noon- Lunch Time Storytime (All ages 2 and up and their parents or caregivers)
    Bring your lunch to the library and enjoy a short storytime and informal playgroup. We’ll share picture books, board books, action rhymes, fingerplays, songs, and fun at the library.

Monday, May 21

  • 6:30pm – Book Discussion: The Tortilla Curtain by T. C. Boyle (FICTION)
    Topanga Canyon is home to two couples on a collision course. Los Angeles liberals Delaney and Kyra Mossbacher lead an ordered sushi-and-recycling existence in a newly gated hilltop community: he a sensitive nature writer, she an obsessive realtor. Mexican illegals Candido and America Rincon desperately cling to their vision of the American Dream as they fight off starvation in a makeshift camp deep in the ravine. And from the moment a freak accident brings Candido and Delaney into intimate contact, these four and their opposing worlds gradually intersect in what becomes a tragicomedy of error and misunderstanding.
