Our summer reading program theme is all about art and artists this year. That means, activities, programs, classes, and storytimes!

Spring Book Sale

1000s of books for sale! Paperbacks and hardcovers, books for kids and adults. DVDs, audiobooks, too! Pricing is take what you like, pay what you think is fair.

Recurring Programs for All Ages

A to Z Book Club: an online/in-person book club for adults
Every 2nd (or 1st or 3rd) Wednesday of the month we meet via Zoom or at the Platt Library at 7:30pm to discuss a book of your choice. The only catch: it has to feature the letter of the month as either the first letter in a word in the title OR as the first letter in the first or last name of the author.

Schedule of Events
Come to the Shoreham Town Green on Saturday, May 10th and see the Green Mountain Boys, as they marched through Shoreham, Vermont, on their way to capture Fort Ticonderoga in 1775! Meet colorful characters, like Benedict Arnold and Ethan Allen.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. learn more about the foods that provisioned the Green Mountain Boys and how they cooked them in the brief pauses along their march.

​ At 11:30 Musket Demonstration, explore the arms and accoutrements carried by Green Mountain Boys.
-
At 12:15, children of all ages can join Ms. Abby the library director inside the Platt Memorial Library for a Revolutionary War story time.

At 1:00 p.m. watch as the Green Mountain Boys resume their march to Lake Champlain and the capture of Fort Ticonderoga.

In addition to providing us with the SunSpotter projection telescope, ECHO also sent a lovely exhibit with lots of information about the eclipse, how it occurs, and what people might see during the event.
