Holiday Needle Felting Workshop
Mon. Dec. 9
6 - 8pm
Knitter, fiber artist, and pattern designer Wendy-Ann Durkee will lead a needle-felted dryer ball workshop. These needle-felted balls can also make attractive ornaments. The cost for the workshop is $20 and includes 30g of hand-processed VT grown wool, a set of needle felting needles– everything you need to get started!
The first 5 people to register will have free supplies provided by the library!

Family Game Night

Tuesday evening bring the whole family down to the library to play one of our growing collection of board games! Or, bring your own favorites to play or share! We'll have games and a light dinner and lots of fun. Stay and play a little while or until the end.
Registration is not required, but be here by 5pm if you'd like to have pizza!
Cookies and a Craft with Mr. Claus

Join us for a quieter, simpler visit to Mr. Claus! We're pleased that our special guest is back again. Stop by anytime from 1:30 - 3:30 on December 7th and write your list for Santa to drop in our official mailbox, make a holiday craft, eat a cookie or a candy cane, and help yourself to a free book--all in the cozy warmth of the Platt Library. This program is free and open to anyone and everyone.
Winter Solstice Storytime

Mark the shortest day, the longest night, and the beginning of winter at our Winter Solstice Storytime. This program is for all ages. We'll share stories of light in darkness, have a snack, and make a winter solstice craft. Dress warmly; when sunset happens, we'll go outside and light the night!
Recurring Programs for All Ages
A to Z Book Club: an online/in-person book club for adults
Every 2nd (or 1st or 3rd) Wednesday of the month we meet via Zoom or at the Platt Library at 7:30pm to discuss a book of your choice. The only catch: it has to feature the letter of the month as either the first letter in a word in the title OR as the first letter in the first or last name of the author.
